Carol Egan (Irish, b. 1974) is a New York City-based designer whose line of minimal and sculptural furnishings have received international recognition and acclaim. By harnessing both state-of-the-art technology, such as 3D modeling, and traditional craftwork fabrication and hand finishing methods including lost wax casting techniques, Egan creates distinct, seemingly impossible forms–often torqued and undulating–that are also refined and sophisticated, and even playful. Her unique balancing of curvaceous form and structure with beautiful surfaces enlivens objects of rigid heavy materials making them seemingly effortless and light.

Egan is graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City where she studied interior architecture.
