Eva Zethraeus (Swedish, b. 1971) is a ceramic artist living and working in Gothenburg, Sweden. Working primarily in porcelain, she creates delicate and tenuous biomorphic sculptures inspired by botanical and biological specimens often reminiscent of marine life. Zethraeus sees these individual sculptures not only as wholly realized discreet objects but also as a part of a larger landscape; an immersive environment. Zethraeus received her MFA from the College for Design & Craft at Gothenburg University. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and the Röhsska Muséet in Gothenburg.
